About the role

Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Reconcile bank statements and company accounts on a regular basis. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Monitor cash flow and ensure proper management of company funds. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Prepare and file statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and explanations. Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and cost efficiency. Maintain fixed asset registers and monitor asset depreciation. Verify and process payroll information as required. Assist in developing and implementing financial controls and procedures. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and records. Requirements: A minimum of an HND in accounting, finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in an accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, Tally, or ERP systems). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Location: Lagos Remuneration: NGN 200,000 Monthly
