Accountant

Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all business transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets and forecasts. Track and analyze unit economics to ensure product and branch profitability. Manage payroll preparation and compliance with PAYE, VAT, and WHT remittances. Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow effectively. Implement and manage accounting systems/software for both branches. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (state and federal). Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Provide detailed reports and insights to management to support decision-making. Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions. Support fundraising efforts by preparing accurate financial models and projections. Establish and monitor internal financial controls to reduce risks and losses. Requirements: 3-5 years of accounting experience A minimum of an HND in accounting
