About the role

Responsibilities: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with company goals and operational objectives. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, onboarding, and staff documentation. Oversee employee relations and handle workplace issues, disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution professionally. Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, company regulations, and health and safety standards. Maintain and update employee records, contracts, attendance, leave management, and HR databases. Coordinate staff training, performance evaluations, career development, and employee engagement initiatives. Support department heads with workforce planning, staffing needs, and performance improvement strategies. Develop and enforce company policies, workplace ethics, and operational procedures. Manage payroll coordination, employee benefits administration, and HR reporting. Foster a positive, professional, and performance-driven organisational culture. Monitor employee productivity, attendance, and workplace conduct across departments. Lead HR audits and ensure proper documentation for regulatory and organisational requirements. Recommend and implement strategies for improving staff retention, motivation, and operational efficiency. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, industrial relations, management, or a related field. Minimum of 4 - 6 years of proven HR management experience, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, HR best practices, and performance management systems. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI will be an added advantage.
