About the role
Responsibilities: Develop and execute Standard Life's IT & Digital Transformation Strategy. Lead the testing, implementation and optimisation of our new financial-services platform. Identify manual processes that can be digitised or automated across Credit, Operations, Finance, HR, Audit and other functions. Drive digital lending, customer onboarding, verification and system-integration initiatives. Develop management dashboards and business intelligence for real-time decision-making. Strengthen cybersecurity, data protection, access controls, backup and disaster recovery. Manage IT infrastructure, systems, vendors, integrations and technology projects. Establish appropriate IT governance, policies, controls and documentation. Evaluate practical opportunities involving AI, automation and emerging technologies. Work with management and departments to identify technology-enabled improvements in efficiency, controls, customer experience and profitability. Proactively present new technology and transformation proposals to management.
Requirements:
Degree in computer science, IT, information systems, engineering or a related discipline. Approximately 7–12+ years' relevant IT experience, with meaningful leadership responsibility. Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ITIL, COBIT, PMP or cloud certifications are advantageous. Strong experience in financial services, microfinance, fintech, banking, lending or related fields. Demonstrated experience implementing significant, verifiable technology projects. Good understanding of cybersecurity, databases, APIs/integrations, cloud technology, business continuity and IT governance. Experience with core banking, lending or financial-services platforms would be highly advantageous.
